Paul Truter

Director

Paul holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town (Dean’s Merit List) and a certificate in Advanced Company Law II from the University of the Witwatersrand. Paul is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Paul specialises in corporate, commercial and competition law and has extensive experience in company law, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring including servicing multinational clients in cross border transactions, competition complaint proceedings, corporate governance, commercial litigation and administrative law.

Amy Jones

Director

Amy holds a BA LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand (cum laude), was named the top Moot student and was nominated to the Dean’s List. Amy is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Amy specialises in corporate and commercial law and intellectual property and has extensive experience in company law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and restructuring, antitrust law, administrative law and intellectual property law, including trade marks, copyright and cross border transactions.

Diloshnie Gounder

Diloshnie joined Truter Jones Inc as a Practice Manager in October 2019. Diloshnie is responsible for the managerial, operational, financial, and general business aspects of the firm. Diloshnie has substantial experience in bookkeeping, legal practice management, coordinating executive communications and welcoming clients and visitors. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Deren Naidoo

Candidate Attorney

Deren holds a BCom law degree and a Postgraduate LLB from Stellenbosch University. He has particular interest in commercial law, regulatory law and technology-related legal matters. During his studies, he completed practical legal training at the Stellenbosch University law clinic and was inducted into the Golden Key international Honour Society for academic achievement. He recently completed the 400-hour PVT programme through Gawie le Roux Institute of law.

Luke Mpungose

Associate

Luke holds an LLB degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and has a special interest in Commercial and Intellectual Property law. During his time at the University, Luke was the head of Activism and Outreach in the UKZN debating union and an introduction to law tutor as part of his Teaching Legal Skills year-long course. Outside his professional life, Luke enjoys reading non-fiction books, spending time with his siblings, and networking.
